Be a Friend of the Tom Thomson Trail
Commemorative Birdhouses or Bathouses
For a minimum $75.00 donation you can have a quality, hand-made, red cedar birdhouse or for a minimum of $100.00 you can donate a bathouse to the Tom Thomson Trail. The bird and bathouses will be placed along the trail in the name of a relative or friend.
The birdhouses have been constructed to meet the design standards of experienced birders and naturalists in the region and are guaranteed to attract birds and bats.
A commemorative plaque will be secured to each house with the name of the person you wish to remember.
Tom Thomson Trail Pet Memorial Bricks
The Tom Thomson Trail Group is developing a Pet Memorial at the Trailhead in Owen Sound and later in Meaford. A brick patio, built under the Trailhead Kiosk, is a lasting memorial to our pets. In recognition of pet owners who make a donation to the Trail, we will add a pet’s name to the memorial.
For a minimum $50.00 donation a brick will be placed in the memorial with your pets name engraved as a lasting memory.
Tom Thomson Trail Memorial Benches
With a minimum donation of $1,000.00 a sturdy, permanant bench will be placed along the Tom Tomson Trail for a resting spot as trail users trek through the beautiful countryside between Meaford and Owen Sound.
Your bench will include a memorial plaque featuring the name of the person of your choice.
Tom Thomson Trail by the metre
If you wish to contribute to the construction of the Tom Thomson Trail itself, you can purchase sections of the trail at $100.00 per metre. Your contribution will be used to purchase the materials and labour needed to build this beautiful and useful trail.
Your name will be placed on the trailhead kiosk as a contributor to the Tom Thomson Trial.

$20,000+
- Receive a framed Tom Thomson print (large) inscribed with a plaque
- A large comemortive boulder will be placed along the trail with a plaque baring the trustee’s name
- Name displayed on Trailhead Kiosk as Trustee of the Trail
